SLU Athletic Training Faculty Member Voted President-Elect of State Association
Katherine Newsham, Ph.D., has been voted president-elect of the Missouri Athletic Trainers Association (MoATA). Newsham is an assistant professor in the Athletic Training Education Program at Saint Louis University.

She will serve on MoATA's executive board until she takes over as president in June 2014.
With more than 20 years of clinical practice, Newsham understands many of the challenges that athletic trainers face on a daily basis. She has worked with colleagues in different practice settings, and in different disciplines, to advance athletic training and athletic health care on state, district and national levels.
An active member of athletic training professional organizations throughout her career, Newsham looks forward to continuing service to the profession and working with the members of MoATA toward the continued growth and development of athletic training.
