The departments of history and African-American studies will host a panel discussion at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, in room 142 in Adorjan Hall.
The conversation about race and gender, "Who Speaks for the Help?" is focused on themes from the movie, "The Help."
The panel will be moderated by Katrina Thompson, Ph.D., assistant professor of history, and will feature Lorri Glover, Ph.D., John Francis Bannon, S.J., Endowed Chair in the history department; Heidi Ardizzone, Ph.D., assistant professor of American studies; and Jamel Bell, Ph.D., assistant professor of communication.
Refreshments will be served.
