For the past 35 years I taught fulltime at Saint Louis University in their Program in Physical Therapy. My focus in teaching has been in geriatrics including lectures on physical changes in normal aging as well as assessment and treatment of age related pathologies. I continue part-time to direct the tDPT Program and teach an online course on understanding and enhancing wellness. I have practiced clinically in acute, rehab, out patient, and home care with older patients and currently I provide fitness classes for elderly living in a retirement home.
While at Saint Louis University I consult with the Department of Geriatric Medicine. My research in aging includes physical abilities in community dwelling, fall prevention, and exercise recommendations.
