Faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni are encouraged to sign up to participate in the 2011 Saint Louis University Make A Difference Day to be held on Saturday Oct. 29th.
The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a kick-off ceremony at the Robert Hermann Soccer Stadium. Following that, groups of volunteers will be dispersed to assist at various nonprofits, schools, churches, homes and neighborhoods.
Volunteers will be provided with transportation, lunch and a t-shirt. Participants may register as a group (department, student organization, etc.) or an individual. For more information and to sign up, please visit the Center for Service and Community Engagement web page.
Last year, a record 2,778 SLU community members volunteered at 121 sites across the St. Louis area. SLU's event is recognized as one of the largest collegiate days of service in the nation.
