Temprano will separate food allergy facts from myths, talk about using injectable epinephrine, or “epipens”, hay fever, and asthma and the elderly.
“Don’t assume that shortness of breath is simply a result of old age. Shortness of breath, wheezing and chronic cough are reasons to see a doctor,” said Temprano. “Asthma can begin at any age.”
The 60-Minute Check-Up will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 26 at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters, located at 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Also at the 60-Minute Check-Up, St. Louis County Library reference librarian Christina Pryor will talk about library resources available to help people improve their health, and SLUCare will provide free blood pressure screenings.
