The Office of Research Integrity will host "Conflicts of Interest" from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 in the Wool Ballroom at Busch Student Center.
The workshop will include a panel of faculty members representing different disciplines and areas of expertise on the topic and aims to be both educational and engaging.
In order to confer credit for attendance, be sure to RSVP to email@example.com. There will also be a sign-in sheet at the event.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) have established new training requirements in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) for programs supporting research training, career development or research education.
As a reminder, all graduate and undergraduate students, post-doctoral fellows and trainees supported by research funds from NIH and/or NSF are required to complete RCR online modules through Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) and a minimum of eight hours of face-to-face RCR training.
Training must be completed prior to the end of the grant-funded activity. In order to meet the in-person requirement, Saint Louis University will provide a series of two-hour workshops throughout the year for individuals to attend. Attending four workshops will meet compliance requirements, but attending more is always encouraged.
For additional information on future workshops, instructions for CITI RCR training and policy requirements, please visit the SLU RCR website.
