The Saint Louis University community has another alternative for reflection, meditation and prayer in a new Interfaith Sacred Space located in room 214 in Des Peres Hall.
As an institution dedicated to the spiritual growth of the individual in the Jesuit tradition of educating "the whole person" (mind, body and spirit), the opening of the Interfaith Sacred Space contributes to the holistic well being of our campus community. It is a necessary addition to our religiously and spiritually diverse campus community as we serve and support students and others from various backgrounds. This space will also serve as a way to educate our campus community about different faith traditions and engage members in interfaith dialogue. It can be utilized for individual and group faith practice as well as for educational programs.
The Interfaith Sacred Space is a shared partnership between the Department of Campus Ministry and the Cross Cultural Center. Student group Interfaith Alliance has been integral is working with both departments on developing the new space.
For questions, ideas for programming opportunities or to make room reservations, please contact LaTanya Buck, director of the Cross Cultural Center, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Interfaith Sacred Space is supported by the Division of Student Development and Division of Mission and Ministry.
