In their largest event of the fall semester, SLU's Philosophy Club will debate the question of whether voting is a responsibility.
Saint Louis University's Undergraduate Philosophy Club will hold its annual Public Disputed Question at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov.10, in the Art Gallery of Boileau Hall. All are welcome.
Addressing the question of whether voting is a responsibility, four students, freshman through senior, will give their best arguments in the affirmative and four others will answer in the negative. Each argument should last around five minutes.
Ruth Groff, Ph.D., will give the "magisterial response," followed by a Q&A session and then refreshments.
This is the Philosophy Club's largest event of the fall semester and promises to be thought provoking evening.
