The annual Holiday Craft Program, which provides an opportunity to create a seasonal home decoration or ornament, has become a popular regular event on the annual calendar of the Women's Commission.
It was welcomed back this year with a noon meeting Dec. 7 in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Allied Health Professions Building. Also returning was Vicki Riek Wroblewski, who provided the direction and supplies for the creation of a holiday centerpiece, "to awaken the creative spark which is there in all of us."
The program was Wroblewski's innovation when she was a member of the Board of the Women's Commission during her time as director of the Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action. Wroblewski served as president of the Commission in 1999-2000 and is now assistant director of Human Resources at St. Luke's Hospital.
Those who attended the program were invited to bring a toy for the SLU Blue Santa toy drive. Santa paid a visit during the program to collect the contributions.
