First-Year Experience Leadership Positions
Returning sophomore, junior, and senior Saint Louis University students have a great opportunity to make an impact in the lives of incoming new first-year SLU students. The following six leadership positions are designed to assist new first-year students in their transition to the institution and are, therefore, called the First-Year Experience (FYE) Leaders. The six positions within the FYE Leadership selection:
- SLU101 Leaders
- Oriflamme Leaders
- University101 Peer Instructors
- Transfer Mentors
- Commuter Assistants
- Learning Community Mentors

2013 FYE Leadership Selection Information
Applications will open for the 2013 FYE Leadership selection on November 1st, 2012. Click here to apply. Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend on of the following information sessions to hear more about their intended position and other leadership opportunities.
- Wednesday, November 7th from 5:30-6:30pm in McDonnell-Douglas 1016
- Thursday, November 15th from 5-6pm in Ritter 232
- Monday, December 3rd from 4-5pm in Busch Student Center 172
- Tuesday, December 4th from 4:30-5:30pm in Ritter 320
Applications are due for students studying abroad during the 2013 spring semester on November 20th, 2012. All other applications are due on January 18th, 2013. Group interviews will take place on Saturday, February 2nd 2013 and individual interviews for the various positions will occur in the weeks following.
