(German) has published an article on "Tercer espacio" e "hibridación": el caso del escritor argentino-alemán Robert(o) Schopflocher" in Estudios Migratorios Latinoamericanos 25/70 (2011), a journal published by the Centro de Estudios Migratorios Latinoamericanos (CEMLA) in Buenos Aires.
Also, at a recent meeting of the Associación Latinoamericana de Estudios Germanísticos in Guadalajara, Mexico, Andress gave a paper titled "… heiße ich daher die Emigration gut“: der Fall des Egon Schwarz." The paper was part of a conference plenary session with some 90 attendees that involved the paper as an extended introduction to a reading by Egon Schwarz from both the German version of his autobiography, Unfreiwillige Wanderjahre, and the recently published Spanish translation, Años de vagabundeo forzado.

Safranski also has been appointed to the Higher Learning Commission's "Peer Review Advisory Group" for a two-year term. This is a group of about eight to ten experienced peer reviewers (accreditation) with the purpose of providing commentary to the Commission on the continued work of peer review and also training to peer reviewers.
