The annual report is intended to share with Center stakeholders and the broader Saint Louis University community our work and accomplishments over the past year and to serve as a means of accountability for us. Additionally, the annual report also describes important changes within the Center, as well as the scholarly and service contributions of Center staff members. Finally, it provides a means for acknowledging the contributions of the Center's Faculty Fellows, Advisory Board members, workshop facilitators, Certificate recipients, and other important stakeholders. This most recent report provides an in-depth view of the Center's work during the 2012-2013 academic year, which includes progress toward our current Strategic Plan. (Note: we consider that the academic year begins on July 1, since most of the work we do in July typically is preparation for the upcoming year.)
2013 - 2014
As usual, July and August found Reinert Center staff gearing up for a new academic year. In July, we welcomed Erin Solomon (Psychology) back for her second year as a Graduate Assistant, and we welcomed new GAs, Elisabeth Hedrick-Moser (English) and Jacob Van Sickle (Theological Studies). In August, we were invited to facilitate several workshops at campus-wide orientation events for new faculty and new teaching assistants. Throughout the summer, Reinert Center staff also were invited to facilitate several college-level retreats on topics like developing online degree programs and fostering deeper student and faculty engagement in the classroom. During this period, we also finalized the revisions to the Certificate Program, offered the Online Teaching and Learning Institute, and participated in Walk to Madrid for the third year in a row.
