Although Saint Louis University does not have the traditional “Greek Row”, the home for Greek Life is DeMattias Hall, an all-Greek residence hall, which provides a great opportunity for sorority and fraternity members to live together in a community during their SLU experience. DeMattias Hall currently houses more than 200 students who are members of Greek organizations. It is also home to a Residence Life professional and student staff.
DeMattias Hall has been the hub of fraternity and sorority life since 1999, housing over 225 members in chapter room blocks. Most chapters have a designated meeting room in the hall, which they use for committee meetings and storage. The multipurpose room on the second floor of the hall is the site of numerous chapter meetings as well as various other programs, and the front patio and lawn make a great location for barbecues and hanging out.
DeMattias Hall is air-conditioned and offers single, double, triple, and quad rooms on both women's, men's, and co-ed floors with community bathrooms. Other features of DeMattias Hall are laundry facilities on each floor, a 24-hour security desk, a workout room, chapter rooms and several community lounges.
