Role in the Center
As Instructional Liaison for the instructional design team in the Center, Kim provides instructor support and training for the University's learning management system, SLU Global (a.k.a., Blackboard) and other learning technologies, including virtual classroom technologies. Kim also researches new learning technologies, supports the faculty who teach in the CTTL's Learning Studio, and assists with decision-making about the adoption of new technologies at the University.
Areas of Responsibility
- Instructor support and training for SLU Global, Respondus, and Campus Pack
- Instructor assistance with integrating Tegrity and Wimba into online and blended courses
- Faculty support for the CTTL's Learning Studio
- Department-level workshops on SLU Global and other technologies
Kim has worked for Saint Louis University for more than 25 years (since 1986). In 2000, she joined Information Technology Services as part of the Academic Technology team; in that role, she supported and trained faculty, staff and students on using WebCT/Blackboard/SLU Global. Kim joined the Center in 2007, and serves as the primary support person and trainer for SLU Global and other learning technologies.
Kim is an active member of the American Society for Training and Development, and currently is pursuing a Certificate in Instructional Design.
