More than 350 international students from more than 60 nationalities attend Vesalius College every semester, providing a truly cosmopolitan and culturally enriching environment. With class instruction in English, as part of a Dutch-language university and located in a mostly French-speaking city, Vesalius College offers something for everyone.
Its liberal arts and sciences curriculum allows you to complete between 12 and 15 credit hours per semester while staying on track with your degree requirements. You can select courses from over 12 major fields of study, including business, political science, history, French and communications, among others.
Classes are small and interactive, with no more than 35 students per class. If one of your greatest attractions to the heart of Europe is to complement your academics with an internship in your field of study, Vesalius College provides you with that opportunity.
You also will have access to all the facilities at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, including, but not limited to, libraries, computer labs and sports areas.
Housing arrangements include a stay with a host family which includes 7 breakfasts and 5 dinners per week. Most host families live +/- 30 minutes form the school and typically speak French or Dutch (and possibly additional languages).
The general list of courses (and descriptions) which are taught in English, can be found here.
Note: You cannot take more than one French class at a time.
A variety of internship assignments are available to suit the background and interests of students. All internships are non-paying positions. Learn more about the internship options. Students have an opportunity to intern with companies like Citi Bank, Ernst & Young International, and or the European Parliament. To find out other internships available, click here.
