Study Abroad in Budapest, Hungary - NEW!
In the heart of central Europe is Budapest, Hungary, a cultural melting pot, balanced between East and West. Budapest is the capital of Hungary, a nation formed by ten centuries of history. Budapest has two sides, which are divided by the river Danube: the landscape of hills and classic scenery in the residential "Buda" and the rushing, metropolitan city life of "Pest," with its boulevards, avenues, districts of hidden clubs, historical cafe houses and wine restaurants. Budapest has a wonderful architectural and historical variety with thousand year old ruins from the Roman Empire, the amazing Royal Palace and castle district, it's Turkish baths from the 16th century, the Citadel Fortress from the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 19th century, the world's largest synagogue, to the footprints of communism, and two revolutions. Come explore Budapest!

Budapest Study Center
Pazmany Peter Catholic University faculty of Law and Political Science is the oldest existing Hungarian university. The campus is located in the heart of the historical downtown area. The program offers students an opportunity to learn about Europe while experiencing the effects the change of the regime in Hungary and other Central European countries. As the majority of Pazmany students are from Hungary, international students will be paired up with a Hungarian Mentor to show them the ropes! Many attractive locations are within minutes of this 250 year old beautiful campus. The university is also next to the National Museum, cafes, restaurants, and shops. There is also an excellent public transportation system, as Pazmany is only 5 minutes away from major metro, bus, and tram lines. Read more here.
Students will typically be placed in one of three charming off-campus apartment complexes. Depending on availability, the unit may be anywhere from a 15 minute walk from the university to a 35 minute commute (which is still quite reasonable by European standards). Typically two to three (2-3) students will share a fully furnished apartment. While meals are not included, you will have full kitchen access in your unit.
