Athletic trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of athletes, patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities.

Athletic Training Post-Baccalaureate Application Review Process:
Rankings/Honors: The Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) awarded Saint Louis University accreditation as an Graduate Professional Master's program. The five year accreditation is the maximum for newly accredited programs. Curriculum & Program Details: The two year professional phase of the program includes coursework in human anatomy and kinesiology, clinical sciences, research, and administration. Students participate in clinical experiences each semester of the professional phase. The student must pass the Board of Certification examination to practice as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
