Applying for a Learning Community
Interested in joining a learning community? Follow the steps below!
1. Review the list of Learning Communities, and select which community or communities you want to apply for.
Hint: Make sure that you are looking at the requirements for each LC. Some require a specific major or a supplemental application!
2. Apply for your learning community through the housing application, which will be available in November. If you have already filled out the application, don't worry! You can go back and edit your housing application through the May 1 priority deadline. To learn more about how to apply for first-year housing, click here.
Note: Editing the housing application does not impact your housing priority date.
3. Confirm your Learning Community courses. One of the best parts of living in a Learning Community is the opportunity to take courses in common with other students on your floor. You will be registered for these courses prior to SLU101 Orientation, and will have the opportunity to meet with an advisor to make sure that these courses fit with your schedule and major.
