Applying for a Learning Community
Interested in joining a learning community? Follow the steps below!
1. Review the list of Learning Communities, and select which community or communities you want to apply for.
Hint: Make sure that you are looking at the requirements for each LC. Some require a specific major or a supplemental application!
2. Apply for your learning community through the housing application, which will be available in November. If you have already filled out the application, don't worry! You can go back and edit your housing application through the May 1 priority deadline. To learn more about how to apply for first-year housing, click here.
Note: Editing the housing application does not impact your housing priority date.
3. Pick your Learning Community courses. While not required, it is highly recommended that you take the opportunity to take courses in common with other students in your community. You will be able to choose your courses on the housing application after March 1, once departments have confirmed their courses for the fall. Look out for an email to know when this option is available - class spots fill up quickly!
