A Global Challenege: Managing Resources
Be Part of the Solution
Now that you know a little bit about the issues surrounding the management of resources, we are asking you to be part of the solution.
Health management improves lives
As the only college of public health at a Catholic, Jesuit University, we are committed to excellence in teaching, research and service that focuses on improving lives.
Our Master of Health Administration degree offers students like you with a unique opportunity to make an impact on the lives of others.
The world needs healthy populations, but the world has limited resources. What's the solution? Studying health management allows visionary leaders to confront the pressing issue of scarcity and find solutions that will create a healthier world. Health managers can impact the health system on a micro level (i.e. running an effective hospital) and a macro level (i.e. affecting policies that lead to better health outcomes).
The need for effective health managers is not scarce. We need leaders willing to address this issue. Are you in?
A health management education at Saint Louis University is a good place to start.
What we are doing
Decisions made by health care executives can help improve life for hundreds or even thousands of people every day. Health care executives have a sense of social mission - they care deeply about the people they work with and serve.
The community at the College for Public Health & Social Justice is committed to addressing disparities wherever they are found and to developing innovative ways to make life better for others. Education at SLU is not limited by classroom walls or campus boundaries.
SLU students expand their knowledge by engaging the local community, this fulfilling SLU's Jesuit mission of being men and women for and with others.
