Saint Louis University School of Nursing has been a national leader in nursing education since it was founded in 1928. The School offers a traditional bachelor's program (BSN), an accelerated second degree bachelor's program (ABSN), an accelerated master's entry program (AMSN), as well as a variety of advanced practice masters and post-masters certificate programs, a Doctor of Nursing Practice, and a PhD in Nursing.

Program Highlights: With 0ver 40 years of experience in accelerated nursing education, the AMSN program (formerly the Accelerated Generalist Master's of Science in Nursing [AGMSN]) was developed by Saint Louis University School of Nursing for high achieving second degree students desiring a career in nursing with a master's entry level.
The AMSN program at Saint Louis University is a five semester program that first began in August 2010. The first graduating class completed the program in 2012. The increasing number and range of opportunities available in nursing today and the excellent job market throughout the U.S. make the Accelerated Master's of Science in Nursing the perfect second-degree option.
Program Description: The program is designed for individuals who are not Registered Nurses but who have already earned a baccalaureate degree. The graduate will earn a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) and be prepared to sit for both the nursing licensure exam and certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader.
Credit Hours/Coursework: The Accelerated Masters of Science in Nursing is an onsite program. Select courses may be offered online or as a hybrid. The 21 month program beginning in August is 68-70 credit hours in length. The program contains significant clinical practicum experiences. | Curriculum
- 3.2 ("B" average) cumulative grade-point average (GPA) on 4.0 system for admittance as Classified student.

Nursing Application Review Process:
- A committee examines and reviews the applicant and application wholly.
- An application answer could expected in four to six weeks after the application deadline.
- There is a deadline to accept an offer of admission.
Required Additional Application Materials for International Students:
- A completed Declaration of Financial Support packet with all accompanying documents
- TOEFL or IELTS scores

Curriculum & Program Details: The Accelerated Master's of Science in Nursing (AMSN) program at Saint Louis University School of Nursing prepares students for the role of Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). The CNL is a fast emerging role developed by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing in collaboration with leaders from nursing practice and nursing education. The CNL will provide leadership at the point of care focusing on outcomes measurement, risk assessment, quality improvement, interprofessional communication and evidence based practice.
