The Center for Environmental Sciences (CES), directed by Dr. Jack Fishman (Earth an Atmospheric Sciences) and co-directed by Dr. Jason Knouft (Biology), moved to the Center for Sustainability on July 1, 2012. Dr. Fishman and Dr. Knouft hold secondary appointments in the Center.
The mission of the Saint Louis University Center for Environmental Sciences (CES) is to provide a research and educational environment that examines the interaction of the solid earth, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere, and how humans are interacting with these systems. The center creates opportunities for interdisciplinary research, funding, teaching, education, and outreach by connecting scholars from different disciplines at Saint Louis University.
The CES sponsors Ph.D. students enrolled in the Integrated Applied Sciences program, and offers undergraduate and graduate certificates in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing. You can find more information regarding the Center and associated programs by going to the Center's homepage, or contacting Dr. Jack Fishman, Dr. Jason Knouft or Dr. Abuduwasiti Wulamu.
