Congratulations on your hard work! There's only a few more things left to do before you don your cap and gown and take part in the celebration that makes it all official.
Application for Degree
There are a two important steps to follow to ensure that you are eligible to graduate and that you receive your degree:
Pre-Commencement and Commencement
You may complete your degree at the end of the fall or spring terms. You may elect to participate in the University's Pre-Commencement and Commencement programs depending on the term in which the diploma is awarded. If you plan to complete your degree in the summer term, you may participate in the May Pre-Commencement ceremonies provided you are within three credit hours of completing your degree. You must demonstrate that you intend to complete the final 3 credit hours by the end of the summer term, which is accomplished by successfully registering for for your final 3-credit hour class (typically Capstone II).
Many students who complete their degrees in the fall wait to participate in the May ceremonies so that they can share experience with more of their classmates. Please be sure to notify the Center for Sustainability if this is your intention. Please note that the Center for Sustainability does NOT hold a mid-year pre-commencement ceremony. More information on the Pre-Commencement and Commencement ceremonies can be found on the following University web pages:
