Healthy women between the ages if 20 and 60 are sought for a research study to determine if dietary supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids might help prevent the muscle soreness and inflammation that often occurs after strenuous exercise.
Those currently taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, fish oil (omega-3 fatty acid) supplementation, aspirin or anticoagulants as well as those with a medical history of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, clotting disorders, diabetes, exertional rhabdomyolysis will exclude the individual from the research study.
The time commitment to participate in the study is a total of three sessions over a three week and two day period. All sessions will be no more than an hour.
