Studio Art Internships
An internship is a valuable experience for expanding knowledge about a specific field as well as a way to
develop important professional skills. A quality internship provides relevant experience and can sometimes lead to full-time employment with the same employer. Networking and making professional contacts is another aspect of an internship that can further career development.
All Studio Art students are encouraged to complete at least one internship before they graduate. Students can participate in an internship with or without receiving course credit. For those students wishing to receive course credit for the internship for the internship the Studio Art program offers an internship course (ART 380) for majors and minors. Students should speak to their mentor about internship opportunities but are welcome to seek out opportunities on their own as well. Before accepting an internship please review the requirements below.
