Rita Numerof, co-author of the recently published book, "Healthcare at a Turning Point: A Roadmap for Change," will be the guest speaker at Saint Louis University's John Cook School of Business Gruenberg Society meeting Tuesday, May 7.
Numerof will focus on a new market-based model that aligns financing mechanisms - moving from pay-for-procedures to a holistic, market-based approach - across the spectrum of health-related industries with the goal of prevention, improved quality and reduced cost for consumers
The event begins with Numerof's presentation, "The Changing World of Healthcare: Educate Yourself on Issues Affecting Women and Families in 2013," at 5 p.m. in the Anheuser-Busch Auditorium of Cook Hall, 3674 Lindell Blvd.
Cocktails and networking follow at 6 p.m. The event is free, however registration is required.
