Wessel will share his unexpected journey about the different experiences throughout his life, both good and traumatic, that climaxed at a certain moment in time to ignite innovation and begin the quest of starting his own company.
Wessel has spent the past 28 years involved in different disciplines of industrial and healthcare automation. He has held different executive leadership roles in sales, marketing and new product and intellectual property development within large and medium-sized corporations. As an inventor and entrepreneur, Wessel has successfully built and sold several medical device companies.
Wessel received the 2003 Tekne Award presented by the Minnesota High Technology Association as "Innovator of the Year" for an emerging company. Wessel has been issued three United States Patents, with six more domestic and international patents still pending. In 2011, Wessel was honored by the Engineering Society of Detroit with its Alpha Award, as recognition for his contributions in medical device development.
