This summer, the Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice will offer children, tweens and teens the opportunity to have a social summer through several exciting programs.
These programs are ideal for children, tweens and teens who struggle with making friends, working in groups with others or who would enjoy learning some strategies for greater social independence and competence. Some participants have characteristics of mild Autism or Asperger Syndrome, ADHD or CAPD and some participants do not have diagnoses, but all benefit from the group experience. The programs run year-round, with enhanced opportunities offered during the summer.
All programs require a $150 eligibility assessment/evaluation appointment. For social skills/social competency programs, assessments can be scheduled May 20-23. For Loving to Read and Write Program, assessments can be scheduled July 1-5.
