6:00-7:00 p.m. (a reception will follow the lecture)
In Memory of Mary Gumble Levy
The lecture is dedicated to the memory of Mary Gumble Levy, health care executive, faculty member, and a doctoral student working to complete her dissertation in Health Services Research. The lecture series is a tribute to Mary's dedication to combining experience with scholarly endeavors to further the fields of Health Services Research and Health Care Administration.
This honor reflects her commitment to teaching, research, and leadership related to her chosen calling. It is this driving force that inspired her to pursue a doctoral degree in Health Services Research, during an extremely successful career as a health care executive in a number of roles and settings. She sought this career shift believing that her experience enhanced by doctoral studies would provide a significant foundation for dissemination of knowledge to future generations of health care professionals and contributions to the scholarly literature.
