University Named 2013-2014 'College of Distinction'
SLU is one of only six colleges in Missouri and the only one in St. Louis to ever receive the honor.
Saint Louis University has been named a 2013-2014 College of Distinction by CollegesofDistinction.com. SLU is one of only six Missouri schools to make the list and the only institution from St. Louis. The University was selected for its commitment to four areas: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community and successful outcomes.
Saint Louis University will be included on the Colleges of Distinction website and 2013-2014 Colleges of Distinction guidebook, which are viewed by thousands of potential students, high school counselors and community college advisors.
SLU was also selected as a Catholic College of Distinction and was listed with 16 other Jesuit universities, including Loyola University Chicago, Creighton University and Xavier University.
To be named a College of Distinction, institutions must be nominated by high school counselors, university administrators and members of the Colleges of Distinction selection team. Selection is made using a mix of qualitative and quantitative information such as faculty and alumni feedback, graduation rates and class sizes.
