Lisa Dorsey, Ph.D., began her role as associate academic vice president for Undergraduate Education effective Sept. 1. This is the position formerly held by Elizabeth Whitt, Ph.D., who left SLU at the end of July.
Dorsey has been the interim dean of Doisy College of Health Sciences since June 2012. She has two degrees from SLU: a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy and a masters of business administration. She received her doctorate from University of Minnesota.
Prior to her role as interim dean, she was the associate dean for academic and student affairs and an assistant professor of physical therapy and athletic training. Dorsey has worked closely on many of the undergraduate education initiatives and brings representation from the Medical Center to the vice president's office.
Irma Ruebling has agreed to serve as the interim dean for Doisy College of Health Sciences. She brings extensive administrative leadership to the college from her past role as chair of the department of physical therapy and most recently as the director of Interprofessional Education. A much-loved teacher and valued faculty member in the college, Reubling has been a member of the Saint Louis University faculty since 1971.
