Saint Louis University has launched a new website to support its presidential search process.
The site, slu.edu/presidential-search, provides details on the process, including timelines, communications and a listing of the Presidential Search Committee, which consists of a Jesuit priest, trustees, an academic dean and representatives of faculty and students.
"We want the search for SLU's next president to be very open and known by everyone who is interested," said Trustee Jim Smith, Chair of the Presidential Search Committee. "This new website will help keep everyone up-to-date on our progress."
A position profile outlining the qualities SLU seeks in its next president is being developed with input from across the University. It will be posted to the site when it is finalized.
For prospective candidates interested in the position, the search website also includes extensive information about the University, as well as an overview of what makes St. Louis an excellent place to live, learn and work.
The website went live Oct. 4, and members of the SLU community are encouraged to visit regularly for the latest information and updates on the search process.
