Wagner Wins 2013 Grantwinner Award for Excellence in Research

Joanne Wagner, PT, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training, was one of the recipients of the 2013 Grantwinner Award for Excellence in Research.
The award is given by the Division of Research Administration based on the number of grants, scholarly activity and publications, activity and service work. Researchers must be nominated by a dean or associate dean within their college.
Dr. Wagner's research focuses on understanding the multi-system impairments contributing to imbalance, reduced walking capability and self-perceived limitations in walking for people with multiple sclerosis. To read more on her research, please visit slu.edu/doisy/research.
Dr. Wagner was also awarded the 2013 Doisy College Excellence in Scholarly Endeavors Award in May.
Joanne Wagner received her PhD in Movement Science from Washington University, a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Maryville University and completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Veterans Affairs Rehabilitation Research and Development Center and Stanford University.
