The SLU community has received a phishing email without a subject line from "SLU Helpdesk <email@example.com>" It asks users to reply to the email with their username and password or risk having their account deactivated.
There are several ways to tell this is a phishing email. Though the email says it's from SLU Helpdesk, you'll notice the email address is actually not a SLU address. The grammar is also unnatural, and the message is not addressed to you specifically. Lastly, ITS will never ask you to supply your password or username in an email. If there are issues with your account, it will not be verified in this manner.
Customers who received the email should select it, then select the "Report phishing" option under the drop-down menu in the right corner of the email in Google. Then click, "Report Phishing Message" to finish the process. Contact the Information Security Team with any questions.
