Administration for the Facilities Services division is provided by the office of the VP of Facilities Services, along with the departments of Service Operations and Facilities Administration. These units support the division through leadership, strategic planning direction, budgeting and accounting processes, contract management, benchmarking, utilities administration, processing of all invoices and procurement, human resources/staffing, work order coordination, communications and website maintenance. Members of these departments represent the division on a number of University committees and councils. Additionally, the VP of Facilities Services is part of the University's executive staff and interacts with the Board of Trustees and community leaders.
Kathleen Brady is the Vice President of Facilities Services.
In her role as Vice President, Brady oversees facilities management, distribution, grounds, custodial, transportation, mail, planning and construction services. Brady joined SLU in 1993 as the assistant to the President. In 1995, she was promoted into her current role to oversee the purchase, renovation, construction and maintenance of facilities at SLU. In 2011, Brady was named Chief Sustainability Officer for the University. Since, she has been instrumental in developing the university-wide Sustainability Advisory Council and has dedicated staff and resources within her division to further this pursuit.
Prior to SLU, Brady spent 18 years of her professional career working for the City of St. Louis. She began as an auditor for the City and held a variety of positions, including project manager and planner for the St. Louis Community Development Agency and special assistant to the Mayor of St. Louis. Her last position was the Chief of Staff for the St. Louis Development Corporation and Community Development Agency.
A leader in the community, Brady has served on a number of boards including the Catholic Commission on Housing, Regional Housing and Community Development Alliance, Council for Educational Advancement, Salvation Army, South Side YMCA, Great Rivers Greenway Regional Advisory Committee and Center for Emerging Technologies.
Brady is a Saint Louis University alum with a degree in Urban Affairs.
