Medical Center Academic Advising
Welcome to Academic Advising on the Medical Center! Every first-time undergraduate student in Doisy College of Health Sciences and the School of Nursing is assigned to an academic advisor in this office. The Academic Advising staff is knowledgeable about curriculum requirements, policies and procedures, and academic opportunities - but spends the time to get to know students on an individual level and help them through the natural transitional challenges of college.
Our Mission Statement
Located within the Student Success Center, Medical Center Academic Advising supports transitioning students by promoting the holistic development of the individual student. To this end, we foster educational responsibility, encourage campus involvement, and promote reflective decision-making through quality academic advising within an inclusive and neutral environment.
Does your program require a minor or are you simpy interested in adding a minor to your program of study? If yes, then please attend the minor fair on Thursday, November 20. There will be representatives from each minor program for you to discuss requirements, apply for the minor and learn how the minor will benefit you in your field of study. There will also be representatives from Student Involvement answering questions about first year experience programs and how to apply.
