Stake Your Claim - In the SLU Garden
The Saint Louis University Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is offering a limited number of garden beds in the organic urban teaching garden.
There is no fee for plot adoption. In order to remain a member, the grower must attend an orientation meeting, attend a garden education program each growing season and contribute 30 minutes of labor per month for maintenance of common areas. There are three growing periods for the organic garden: spring, summer and fall. Gardeners who have utilized the space in the past and kept the plot in good standing will be available for renewal.
Some examples of organic products that have been grown in the past:
- Bush Beans
- Bell Peppers
- Summer Squash
- All seasons
