Urban Wanderers: A Partnership with Stray Rescue
A Fundraising Art Exhibition
Continues until July 27
Urban Wanderers consists of works of art created by local, regional and national artists, as well as rescued companion animals. Each artist depicts a Stray Rescue dog or cat in their medium of choice, ranging from photography to painting. Dogs and cats join in the fun too, creating paintings with their paws, tails, and noses. All artwork will be available via an online auction. Bidding continues until the conclusion of the exhibition on Sunday, July 27. All online bidding proceeds directly benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
The theme of this year's exhibition is "What Is Stray Rescue?," which offers participating artists the chance to explore all the avenues through which the organization is improving the region's landscape for homeless companion animals, as well as the people who care about them.
"Telling the stories of rescued dogs or cats through works of art is such a compelling way to highlight what these companion animals are forced to endure on the streets, but also their strength, resilience, and capacity to enrich our lives," said Randy Grim, founder of Stray Rescue. "This show is truly a must-see; full of hope and compassion."
