Transfer SLU 101

SLU 101 orientation for new freshmen and transfer students starting at Saint Louis University for the 2022 spring semester is Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. Our mid-year SLU 101 on Jan. 13 will follow our one-day virtual program, outlined below, that is typically for new transfer students. However, we offer only one SLU 101 session for new students starting spring 2022, which includes new freshmen and transfers, so please sign up for the Jan. 13 SLU 101 session date to ensure you receive information for orientation.

SLU Billiken

We understand that you already have experience at college, so we've designed SLU 101 Transfer Orientation specifically to meet the unique needs of transfer students.

The summer 2021 and January 2022 SLU 101 sessions will be a virtual experience. You will also receive additional orientation information through email before and after your live, virtual SLU 101 session to help you prepare for your first semester at SLU. You must attend a SLU 101 session to be eligible to have an individual meeting with an academic advisor. During SLU 101, you will learn about campus resources and your SLU school or college, you will make connections with other students, and you will have time to get questions answered by staff members and student leaders. About a week before SLU 101, you will receive an email about how to access the virtual, live session along with tasks you'll need to complete before you attend.

You'll learn about important campus resources at SLU, including Information Technology Services, the Office of Parking and Card Services, the Student Involvement Center, campus ministry, the Department of Housing and Residence Life, the Student Success Center, student financial services and more through the SLU 101 session and after your SLU 101 session with the online orientation modules you can review on your own time.

Because we provide a great deal of information relevant to your academic success and register you for your first semester classes, it is expected that all new transfer students will participate in this program. We look forward to welcoming you to SLU!
