Practice Areas

General chemistry recitations offer students an opportunity to work more in depth with the course material outside of lecture, in a smaller class setting. The recitations are co-registered with each semester of general chemistry and were established to give students practice solving chemical problems to better prepare them for success in the course. General chemistry is typically a course for freshmen new to SLU, and the recitations helps in their transition to college course material and in developing constructive study habits. I particularly enjoy introducing students to the subject of chemistry and helping them practice their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
