Types of Audits
These five project processes are designed to implement UAS' mission, vision, and strategy:
Process Improvement - a process is analyzed from start to finish with the objective of improving efficiency and effectiveness in achieving business objectives. This methodology is selected when there is a lack of consistent policies, procedures, and standards. The key deliverable is the audit report.
Risk and Control Review - a process or function is analyzed for risk mitigation (controls) or best practices. This process is most applicable when existing standards are in place to test against. The key deliverable is the audit report.
Investigative Analysis - perform an analysis of the success or compliance with management objectives or procedures. This is a specialized process where audit is trying to answer a specific question for management. The key deliverable is the report.
Fraud Investigation - investigation of an alleged fraud committed by an employee or vendor. UAS will provide an independent analysis and testing of the hypothesis that a fraud has been committed. The key deliverable is the audit report.
Education & Training - teaching and communication of the concepts of optimization in regards to information, technology, people, processes, and strategies. This process can be completed in conjunction with other project processes.
