Health Administration/Business Administration

The Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice and the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business jointly administer our graduate dual degree program in health and business administration.

About the Program

Graduates of this dual-degree program are awarded a Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration. You’ll gain general management expertise within the context of dynamic health care environments and better understand the issues, skills and methods surrounding the relationship between health care and business.

The program includes a 10-day study abroad component focusing on international business, which occurs over winter break. The M.H.A. program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education.

Curriculum and Program Details

You will complete the usual curriculum for both the health administration and MBA programs, except that 18 credit hours from the MBA curriculum will count toward the M.H.A.

A total of 86 credit hours is generally required to complete both degrees. You may pursue a concentration with your master's of health administration studies; however, doing so may increase the the total number of credits required.
