- Education Volunter: Help a refugee from a war-torn country or oppressive government reach their most desired goal, becoming a U.S. citizen. Our volunteers help provide the one-on-one, in-home English and Civics instruction necessary to pass the citizenship exam. You do NOT have to speak any language other than English and do not need any prior teaching experience.

Christian Friends of New Americans links you with opportunities to connect with immigrants and refugees living in the St. Louis region. CFNA partners with local Lutheran congregations, schools, and individuals, NGOs and various grant-giving foundations to offer a range of programs and services for New Americans.
- Adult ESL Assistant Teacher: Serve refugee friends in our community helping them build their language skills through conversational English, grammar, reading and writing as well as assisting with life skills.
- After School Tutor: Helping students ages 5 - 19 with schoolwork, reading to children, preparing food, clean-up, etc. Lead educational presentations on any topic kids find interesting.
- Health and Wellness Saturdays: Registering clients, basic screening, and teaching basic health ex. dental hygiene, etc.
Remote opportunities include:
- Online Classes: Christian Friends of New Americans is seeking volunteers who are wanting to help our Refugee friends who are unable to attend class in person to become better English speakers. This is done remotely through ZOOM , Google chat, or WhatsApp. This allows our tutors to build relationships with families while still allowing both the tutor and student to participate in their daily routine.
- Adult ESL Assistant Teacher: Mondays from 5:30-7pm, Fridays from 10-12pm, and Saturdays from 9-11am.

Easter Seals Midwest is a not-for-profit, registered 501 (c)(3) organization that is committed to helping individuals with developmental disabilities - including autism - learn, live, work and participate in the community.
- Friend InDeed Program: Volunteers are paired one-on-one with a client to develop an engaging friendship. Visit the client at his/her home, engage in social activities with them, etc.
- Adopt-A-Home: Perfect for groups! Help perform maintenance on our clients' residences, painting, landscaping, and more. Office Assistance: Help with regular administrative duties including phone calls, data entry, assembling event materials, etc. Some work can be done remotely at the volunteer's
home.

H.E.R.O.E.S. Care is a collaborative effort among well established non-governmental organizations (NGOs) designed to provide complete and proactive support for members of all branches of the military and their families through pre-deployment, deployment, family reintegration and post-deployment.
- Warehouse Volunteer: Assist with managing, organizing, and delivering donations to veterans.
- Marketing/Communications Volunteer: Assist with our social media efforts, video/photography, etc.

- School Event Assistant: Assist with the HOME WORKS! events at the various schools we serve. Help with our Family Dinners and Parent-Teacher Workshops, be at the sign-up table answering questions and scheduling Home Visits. Serve Food at the Family Dinner and give assistance for any clean-up at the school.
Remote opportunities includes:
- Volunteer Assistant: Make phone calls to HOME WORKS! families reminding them of family events at the school. Also, follow-up phone calls thanking families for coming to the event.

Our organization provides support to newly arrived refugees and immigrants in the Greater St. Louis Area. Our goal is to serve these families by helping them connect with each other and the greater Saint Louis community.
- Women's Social: Help our mothers with English and other skill-building classes, and play with children, do crafts, etc.
- English Classes: Assist with our conversational English classes for everyone in the family.
- Driver's Education: Help refugees learn how to drive a car, or practice for their license exam.

The goal of NSEC is to reduce or eliminate unemployment on the Near Southside by: · Developing job referral relationships with employers across the metropolitan area. · Screening and referring qualified applicants for available positions · Providing job skills through training at our locations · Training for job readiness and motivation · Working to reduce artificial barriers to employment, such as travel to jobs.

To reduce social isolation for older adults. The Connections program focuses on helping older adults learn to use technology to stay connected to loved ones and vital information. We also teach basic cybersecurity concepts to protect participants from cybercrime.

Parents as Teachers promotes the optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers.
- Business Analyst/Project Assistant: Utilizing a variety of techniques to interpret business processes and communications requirements for a Learning Management System (LMS) implementation project
- Research and Evaluations Intern: Support data collection, analysis, and dissemination for various projects at the local, state or national level.
- Advocacy Intern: Opportunities to conduct entry-level policy research, writing, and some analysis. Exposure to real world advocacy experience on the state and federal level. Policy and advocacy communication skills preferred.
- Virtual Parent Education Initiative Intern: Assist with investigating effective uses of telecommunication and interactive technology methods to enhance family engagement and expand the reach of parent education delivery through technology. The intern will assist with assembling policies, procedures, and documentation. as well as develop criteria for vetting parenting technology.

The mission of the Senior Tech Helpers club is to establish a volunteer group that provides technology assistance to the elderly in our community while developing impactful relationships with them and the community. In order to achieve this goal, students will visit various volunteer locations where they will work one-on-one with residents to help them discover the conveniences technology can provide. Senior Tech Helpers will uphold the Jesuit Mission of Saint Louis University by providing meaningful assistance and education to the elderly to make their lives easier, more enjoyable, and more well-connected.
- Helping Seniors with Technology: On a regularly scheduled basis, a group of students will visit retirement centers and work one-on-one with residents to answer any questions they may have about their device and/or help them learn how to use their device.
Occurs at The Willows every first and third Tuesday of the month from 2:30-3:30.

We are a community group supporting immigrants and refugees as they begin a new life in St. Louis. We offer emotional and social support primarily by partnering volunteers with new families, specifically working with Syrian immigrants and refugees living at the Hodiamont Apartments.
- Readers: We need volunteers to read to children of immigrant families. Many of the parents do not know English very well and we want to make sure that the young children get a strong foundation to excel moving forward.
- Tutors: We need help with tutors for the children of our immigrant "New American" families in St. Louis. Most of our requests from families have been for math tutors but it could be any subject.
- ESL Adult Education: Many of our New American friends "Syrian Refugees" need help learning English and practicing English between classes. You could help by meeting in person for practice or calling on the phone.
