The Campus Kitchen at Saint Louis University rescues food that would otherwise be thrown out from Dining Services, as well as various grocery stores and food banks. Students then turn this food into delicious and nutritious meals that are delivered to neighborhood homeless shelters, transitional living homes, and low-income families and senior citizens. The Campus Kitchen also runs a Culinary Job Training program to prepare adults looking for gainful employment for careers in the food service industry.

Food Outreach is the only St. Louis area organization whose mission is to provide nutritional support and enhance the quality of life of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer.

- Grocery Box Packing: Assist in Food Outreach's Nutrition Center to assemble and pack boxes that will provide a month's worth of nutrition to our home delivery clients who are unable to pick up their groceries on site.

- Cook with Chef: Cook with our Chef to help prepare entrees and sides that will be packed and frozen for Food Outreach clients! *May involve working with meat or seafood* No kitchen experience needed.

- Nutrition Center Grocery Packing: Volunteers that help with these opportunities fulfill live grocery orders when clients select their monthly groceries on site.

- Cook & Pack: Our Cook & Packs feature the unique opportunity to help our team cook, pack, and freeze between 5,000 - 10,000 scratch prepared meals for clients. Activities for this opportunity include cooking in the kitchen, packing food in the dining room, helping with dishes, assisting in the freezer, putting labels on containers, etc.

Holistic Organic Sustainable Cooperative Organization (HOSCO) (pronounced: hoss-koh) is a local 501(c)3 organization operating a food hub/commercial kitchen located at 1038 N Sarah to support communities and flatten the curve on the spread of COVID-19. Through our pickup and delivery model we have served over 40,000 meals for Homebound Seniors and families residing within North St. Louis City and County.

- Meal Packing for Homebound Seniors, Disabled and Families: Each week we produce over 3,000 meals and these meals are pre-package at our kitchen for distribution. We have had over 30 volunteers come in to assist us with this pre-packaging process.

- St. Louis Housing Authority Drivers: We also seek drivers to deliver meals to homebound Seniors and families through our partnership with St. Louis Food Angels, St. Louis Housing Authority and United Way. The delivery areas exist throughout the North/South City and County neighborhoods. To participate in this opportunity you would need a valid driver’s license and a maximum of 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete a delivery route.

- Meal Packing for Homebound Seniors, Disabled and Families: Any day Tuesday, Thursday or Friday from either 2 p.m.-4 p.m. or 3 p.m.-6 p.m..
