Students who graduate with a degree from Saint Louis University's School of Social Work are prepared to tackle the challenges that impact individuals and communities in the 21st century.

The School is housed in the newly formed College for Public Health & Social Justice. The School contains three academic fields as it houses SLU’s degree programs in social work, criminology and criminal justice and applied behavior analysis. These programs develop students who are well rounded and prepared for any number of careers.

Students looking for master’s degrees in social work, master’s degrees in applied behavior analysis or master's degrees in criminology will find that our Master of Social Work degree (MSW), Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis programs (MS), post-master's Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, and our Master of Science in Criminology and Professional Practice give them expert knowledge of social work, applied behavior analysis and criminology practice. The School also offers a PhD in Social Work for those interested in an academic or research career.

Our undergraduate programs include social work degrees and criminology and criminal justice degrees that give students a gateway into social work careers or criminal justice careers or a firm foundation for continuing education in social work masters programs or law degrees. Criminal justice is also one of the top majors at SLU for students who are interested in a prelaw program to help launch them into law school.

One thread unites our social work, criminology and criminal justice and applied behavior analysis degree offerings - social justice and the desire to improve the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable. The internationally-recognized faculty at SLU have a commitment to social justice and are known for their excellence in teaching, social work research and community service, helping to make ours one of the top schools of social work in the nation.

With-top rated programs, state-of-the-art research and a commitment to social justice, Saint Louis University's School of Social Work provides a strong foundation for the dynamic growth of its students and our global communities.
