The Reinert Center invites The College for Public Health and Social Justice community wishing to explore online teaching and learning to participate in the following events.
Online Teaching and Learning Institute
Monday, July 21, 2014 through Thursday, July 24, 2014
9:00 am to 3:00 pm, daily
Des Peres Hall, Room 213
Audience: Faculty with little or no experience teaching online
This intensive four day institute is aimed at faculty who are new to designing and teaching online courses. Topics covered include:
- Effective Practices and Strategies for Online Teaching
- Creating Online Course Content
- Collaborative and Active Learning Strategies
- Assessment Practices

Spotlight on Teaching: Focus on Online Teaching and Learning

This initial conversation will be a chance for faculty with experience teaching online to share strategies, approaches, and discuss questions.
November 11, 2014: Teaching Online Courses in Alternative Timelines
This session will focus on course and program design for four, six and eight week courses.
