In fall 2019, the Reinert Center launched a new series that will explore the “defining features” of different aspects of course design and teaching. Whether you are returning to the undergraduate classroom after time away, beginning to teach your first graduate courses, or brand new to course design and teaching in the university context, there will be something in it for you. The series will consist of new online resources to support just-in-time work, some in-person programming, and regular blog posts.
As new online resources become available, and in-person offerings are added to our calendar, this page will serve as a linked index. For academic units interested in bringing a Reinert Center team member in for some shared discussion of one of these topics, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Throughout the 2019-2020 academic year, we’ll aim to develop shared understandings about different types of courses -- from first-year seminars to graduate seminars, survey courses to capstone courses, from studios and labs to writing-intensive and service-learning courses.
