Saint Louis University

The Department of Chemistry at Saint Louis University is committed to education and research in chemical sciences. We offer an American Chemical Society certified undergraduate curriculum with B.S. and B.A. degrees in both Chemistry and Biochemistry. These programs provide excellent preparation for students seeking employment in industry (chemical, pharmaceutical, agriculture, etc. ) or the government (DOD labs, regulatory agencies, law enforcement) as well as for those wishing to continue their studies in professional school (medical, dental, veterinary, law, etc.) and graduate school. Information on these programs is found at the Undergraduate Programs link.

The Department also offers M.S. (thesis-based) and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry and Interdisciplinary Sciences. A non-thesis, coursework-based M.A. degree is also available. More information on the graduate program is available at the Graduate Programs link. In conjunction with the graduate program, the Chemistry Department maintains active research programs in both Synthesis and Materials Chemistry and in Chemical Analysis and Physical Characterization. Consult the individual faculty pages for more information on individual research programs.

The Department of Chemistry is housed in Monsanto Hall on the campus of Saint Louis University.
