Research Interests

My previous research and publications have focused on 1) the development of accelerometry-based metrics for objective measurement of post-stroke upper limb function and 2) physical activity in adults with stroke and adults with physical disability.  My current research focuses on health behavior change (e.g. physical activity and dietary behaviors) through use of behavioral interventions to decrease risk for recurrent stroke and related chronic conditions. The long-term goal of this research is to develop effective, real-world interventions for secondary stroke prevention and health promotion in adults with stroke.
