Saint Louis University Health Information Management Program OverviewSaint Louis University's undergraduate degree in health information management combines medical science and information technology with legal concepts and business administration. Graduates from SLU's health information management are a vital part of the health care team and recognized experts who secure, analyze, integrate and manage information.
If you choose to major in health information management at SLU's Doisy College of Health Sciences, you will use an electronic health record that mimics the actual EHR you will see at most clinics. In addition to a traditional four-year degree, Doisy College also offers an 18-month accelerated B.S. in health information management for students who already possess a bachelor's degree. Upon graduation, all of SLU's health information management students are qualified to sit for the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) national credentialing examination.

All health information management majors at SLU are also automatically members of the Health Information Management Student Organization, which furthers their professional knowledge and effectiveness and allows them to connect with health information professionals.
The Doisy College of Health Sciences is located within the Allied Health Professions building on SLU's Medical Center, so you'll interact with other students majoring in health care professions, including medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant education, occupational therapy, nuclear medicine, nutrition and dietetics, and clinical laboratory science.
