Saint Louis University Health Management Degree Overview

Saint Louis University's undergraduate health management degree combines liberal arts, business and the study of the health care industry. The degree program, offered by SLU's College for Public Health and Social Justice, focuses on all the elements of a health system from marketing and finance to human resources, technology and strategic planning.

Majoring in health management at SLU can prepare you to go on to the study of medicine or law, or for advanced training in health administration, health policy, public health, nursing, allied health professions or a Master in Business Administration.

SLU's College for Public Health and Social Justice also offers a competitive accelerated B.S./master's program that allows students to earn a B.S. in health management in four years and a Master of Health Administration with just one additional year of study.

What You'll Learn in SLU's Health Management Program

If you choose to major in health management at SLU, you'll study health care economics, health care finance, and health care operations management. You'll explore human resources management, accounting and information technology.

SLU's health management program also offers a specialized track for premed students, which includes both rigorous traditional pre-med science requirements and health management classes. Premed students can also double major in a traditional science program and health management.
